There is a huge difference between an artist and a performer. Justin Bieber just follows directions and is good at singing. Artists write their lyrics, compose the instrumentals, play an instrument, and sing. The difference is that an artist is expressing something personal, a performer just follows directions targeted to please audiences. That’s not to say a performer can’t be talented, but it can’t be compared to a good artist, and thus it is completely unfair for Justin Bieber to compare himself to any artist.
